WHERE DOES THE NAME COME FROM?
When we embark on our eco tours in Myrtle Beach, our eyes are always peeled for dolphins. The dolphins that we do spot tend to be of one specific variety whose scientific name is Tursiops Truncatus. In naming our boat, we also considered the military lineage of the vessel, which led us to hyphenate the name of the vessel. “Tursi-Ops” not only references our favorite dolphins but also reminds us that we’re on a special “ops” mission to spot the ocean’s most beautiful creatures!
