What To Expect On Our Dolphin Tour
When you plan a family vacation along the South Carolina coast, you’re sure to pack the experience with family fun activities. While the theme parks, endless seafood dinners, and sand castles will be memorable, the one stop you don’t want to miss is a dolphin cruise.
Dolphin tours Murrells Inlet style are unforgettable! Whether you’re planning the adventure for the kids or the kids at heart, the entire family will agree a dolphin cruise with Blue Wave Adventures tops the list of things to do on vacation. Whether it’s your first time experiencing the dolphin sightings or it’s a must-do activity each time you visit the coast, we’re giving you a mini-guide on what to expect when you participate in one of our dolphin tours.
Before we delve into the experience, we want to prepare you for the best time possible. Be sure to dress the family in casual clothes and don’t forget the hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and camera. You’re welcome to bring a small bag to keep everything together. We highly recommend reserving your space on your first-choice tour date and time to ensure everyone in your party gets a seat. Dolphin tours tend to fill up fast, especially during peak vacation time, so making a reservation is your sure way to take part in the adventure.
When you visit Blue Wave Adventures, parking for the tour is free. Tell the parking attendant at Crazy Sister Marina that you are a passenger on Blue Wave Adventures Dolphin Cruise and pull into an empty spot.
On The Dolphin Cruise
Your entire family will be comfortable on Blue Wave Adventures’ new custom-built 42-foot Rigid Aluminum Vessel. With 360-degree viewing, every seat is the best seat in the house! While the seats face forward, there’s enough space to get a great view of the dolphins from every angle. With seating for up to 40 passengers, we can handle large parties in one trip.
As we cruise the ocean in search of dancing dolphins, you’re sure to see other creatures as well. Some of our guests have had an opportunity to see turtles, jellyfish, sharks, rays, fish, osprey, eagles, herons, oystercatchers, and more. (That’s why we recommend bringing the camera along!)
Seeing the dolphins is just the beginning of the fun. Our crew includes a Marine Biologist and a combined 20 plus years of experience with marine mammals. Meaning, each trip is filled with dolphin facts, tidbits about the ocean wildlife, and historical facts about the Murrells Inlet area. Come prepared with your questions, because we have the answers.
The Blue Wave Adventures team is often asked which tour is the best. While we’re a little biased in believing each tour is uniquely awesome, the dolphins do tend to be more active during the morning tours, so if you can get your family up and out for our first tours of the day – you may capture the best moments!
Blue Wave Adventures is excited for your family to join ours on an upcoming dolphin tour. If you have any questions about the experience, check out our trip details page.
