What is Mothership Kayaking?

blue wave adventures
Utilizing our 30ft RAIV (Rigid Aluminum Inflatable Vessel), the Osprey, we voyage deep into the most remote area’s of our pristine ecosystem and then launch our inflatable kayaks from the boat. The Osprey serves as a “Mothership” for the kayak guides and enable our adventure seekers the best remote experiences to see nature and wildlife that would be otherwise extremely difficult to reach.

This experience is designed for those looking for more adventure. You do not need to be an Olympic athlete, but you must be able to kayak, be prepared to get wet, and some basic physical conditioning.

The North Island is one of the premiere saltwater ecosystems of the East Coast and the area is thought to be one of the cleanest in all the world. For that reason, much field research is done by Clemson University and University of South Carolina around the island.
