Best Myrtle Beach Vacation Attractions

More than 14 million people travel to the Myrtle Beach area each summer. With more than 1,500 restaurants and nearly as many attractions, it’s impossible to do everything along the Grand Strand. To make the most of your Myrtle Beach vacation, you want to look for quality excursions and adventures that the entire family will enjoy. Whether you have a family of young children, your kids are entering the teen years, or you’re traveling with your partner, a Murrells Inlet dolphin cruise is one of the best attractions along the beach.

Blue Wave Adventures Dolphin Tour

With 360-degree viewing, The Blue Wave Adventures boat offers the best seat in the house to everyone on board. Your entire family will be comfortable on our custom-built 42-foot Rigid Aluminum Vessel. You’ll have plenty of space to look around to get a great view of the dolphins from every angle. Large families and groups are welcome at Blue Wave Adventures, and in most cases, we can accommodate your party on our trip with our 40-seat boat.

Beach vacations are made for days of fun in the sun, right? With Blue Wave Adventures, you get to enjoy fun on the water and learn about the Murrells Inlet ecosystem. Eco tours in Murrells Inlet are a unique way to experience the various ocean animals, wildlife, and saltwater marsh.

Sea Creature Sightings

One of the best parts of your Murrells Inlet dolphin cruise is the many sea creatures unique to the Inlet area you’ll see along the way. You’ll have an opportunity to see sea turtles, jelly fish, stingrays, sharks, and more.

Sea turtles are endangered animals that love the open waters and the coast. Human behavior – everything from littering to poaching – has made this majestic creature quite scarce. Photos of these beautiful creatures are rare, but you’ve got a great opportunity when you board the boat for your Murrells Inlet dolphin tour. One of the favorite snacks of the sea turtle is the jellyfish.

A not so rare (but very cool looking) sea creature you’re sure to spot along the tour is the jellyfish. These mostly transparent creatures typically only live for about one year and snack on fish, shrimp, crabs, tiny plants and even other species of jellyfish.

Atlantic and southern stingrays both live off the coast of South Carolina and while both species are barbed, neither is considered to be particularly dangerous. From the protection of the boat, you can gather photos of stingrays while enjoying your Murrells Inlet dolphin tour.

Educated Crew

Blue Wave Adventures offers dolphin tours that are adventurous and full of sea creature sightings, but there’s another element that makes our tours the best Myrtle Beach vacation attraction. Our educated crew is staffed with experienced and knowledgeable marine biologists. The captains will provide information about dolphins, the Murrells Inlet ecosystem, and answer any questions along the way.

Blue Wave Adventures is excited for your family to join ours on an upcoming dolphin tour. If you have any questions about the experience, check out our trip details page.
