About the Tursi-Ops
The Tursi-Ops is a custom-built vessel that was specifically designed to provide an amazing experience for our dolphin tours. We made sure that this vessel could offer not only an incredible view but also the utmost degree of safety and security for all of our passengers. When naming our boat, we were inspired by the scientific name for the dolphins in this area: Tursiops Truncatus. Combine that with the special “ops” styling and military lineage of the vessel, and you get Tursi-Ops!
The Tursi-Ops was custom designed by NAIAD, a trusted boating company in New Zealand, and was constructed here in the USA. This 42-foot Rigid Hull Inflatable boat was specifically designed for dolphin tours and provides plenty of room for up to 40 passengers!
The first thing you’ll notice when you hop on board is that you have an unbeatable view all the way around. This 360-degree viewing capability is made possible by the low railing and the individual front-facing seats, allowing you to turn whichever way you please to see all the beauty around you. There’s no wheelhouse or cabin to block your view of the water.
Of course, in designing this boat, safety was our top priority. The vessel is inspected every single year by the US Coast Guard to make sure it meets the strictest quality standards. Every time the boat goes out for sightseeing tours, there is a licensed Captain at the helm. Plus, every single crew member on board holds a current CPR certificate and a Red Cross First Aid certificate. Finally, our boat is always equipped with life jackets for each and every passenger.

We offer morning trips at 8, 10, and 12, as well as afternoon trips at 2, 4, and 6. Your 1.5-hour trip will take you through the Murrells Inlet saltwater estuary system toward the Atlantic Ocean and let you spend around 45 minutes admiring the incredible wildlife around you!
